Why are these in the evidence?
It turned out these are not even the original ones. The pages they have found were all encrusted in salt and ruined. They hired multiple artists to get as much back as they could.
A note next to it says: "Original pages were purple, like the pamphlet. Inked with a sort of organic ink."
Other notes from one of the artist claims there were also words written on the pages with pencil, but it was too far gone to decipher. They actually left out the pencil writings.
They took away evidence!
But even then, I have seen the original pages a little while ago. The writing, even though I could not read it, was not like Maria's. The only reason I have them here is because there are a lot of beetle drawings. Maria loves beetles.
But they are not existing beetles, not in our world at least. I could not find anything that looks like these. And what is written next to it
(some artist had taken notes and deciphered part of the weird font) does not make any sense.
I also find it weird that the artists used different art styles. The writing is probably from 1 person though.
